Mission Statement

As an integral part of the justice system, Sierra County Probation’s mission is to ensure public safety through services and programs of prevention, intervention, treatment, and detention, including:

Investigations and recommendations for the courts
Supervision of adult and juvenile offenders within the community
Enforcement of court orders and sanctions.
Rehabilitative services moving offenders to lawful self-sufficiency
Protection of the rights and interests of victims
Community partnerships
Collaborative partnerships with county and state agencies
