Mission Statement

As an integral part of the justice system, Sierra County Probation’s mission is to ensure public safety through services and programs of prevention, intervention, treatment, and detention, including:
  • Investigations and recommendations for the courts
  • Supervision of adult and juvenile offenders within the community
  • Enforcement of court orders and sanctions.
  • Rehabilitative services moving offenders to lawful self-sufficiency
