Meeting Dates and Locations
Planning Commission meetings are held the second Thursday following the first Tuesday of each month. Special meetings may be called from time to time and the meeting location, time, and date will be posted at least one week prior to the meetings. Meeting locations are generally held either at Sierra County Courthouse, Board of Supervisors Chambers in Downieville, Ca. or in the Loyalton Social Hall/Museum Complex, County Road A24, Loyalton CA.
Occasionally, the meeting dates and locations are changed as the need arises.

In accordance with the Brown Act, the Planning Commission meeting agenda is posted at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled meeting. The agenda and supporting documents are available for review during regular business hours at the Planning Dept at 101 Courthouse Square, Downieville. The agenda and supporting documents are also available below for the convenience of the public.
Official recordings and minutes are on file with the Planning Department and may be requested or viewed by contacting the office.
Meeting Protocol
Planning Commission meetings are conducted according to the Brown Act and Sierra County Board of Supervisors Resolution No 2007-039.
Public members wishing to make comments on matters addressed on the agenda may do so at the time of that item. Public comment on items not addressed on the agenda, may be heard during the Public Comment agenda item. After recognition by the Chairman persons will walk to the podium, state name, and direct comments to the Chairman. The Commission is not permitted to take action on items addressed under Public Comment.
